Polygon experiences a disruption of the purpose due to the Bog of Bor / Erigon

Polygon is experiencing a temporary delay in the purpose of the consensus due to a bug affecting the Bor and Erigon nodes, according to an official report of incident on its status page.

The problem, which started early Wednesday, disrupted certain remote procedural call services (RPC) and caused applications built on the network to encounter access problems. While the Polygone blockchain remains live and continues to produce blocks, a certain number of RPC suppliers and validators have been forced to rewind the last finalized block and go up.

The polygon team has confirmed that the bug prevents the node progression for certain configurations. However, the restarting of the affected nodes resolved the problem of certain participants. “We see that a restart of nodes has solved the problems for many validators and RPC suppliers,” said Polygon.

Engineers collaborate with infrastructure providers to accelerate debugging efforts and full features. The team said that the incident does not affect the basic chain operations and has provided users of rapid recovery.

Cointtelegraph holded the hand to Polygon Labs for comments but did not obtain an answer by publication.
