Moneygram Digital Payments Application should be launched in Colombia, offering residents a way to save American stables while the Colombian Peso continues to weaken.
Moneygram Crypto Service is fueled by the stellar network and operates Crossmint for Auto-Custodie, allowing users to store the stablecoin USDC (USDC) and transfer it abroad almost instantly.
In a press release on Wednesday, Moneygram said that Colombia was the “ideal launch market” because Colombian families receive more than 22 times the money they send abroad.
“For millions of people around the world, sending money across borders is a rescue buoy: supporting loved ones at home, covering essential elements such as food, housing and education, and allowing investments in businesses and long -term financial stability.”

Integration will allow residents to make the need for Moneygram’s physical stores to receive funds and recover physical money, as they can now store it in the form of USDC in the application.
This offers them a more stable currency to store their funds, as the Colombian data showed almost 12% compared to the dollar since the beginning of April, show the Google financing data.
Users will only need to attend money’s locations when they wish to exchange the USDC for Colombian pesos and remove it for expenses.
Moneygram also noted that users could be able to earn incentives on deposits thanks to its savings offers integrated in the near future.
Moneygram Crypto Service is launched on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, although Colombians must first join a waiting list to approve their accounts.
